Brandon Lomax is captivated by the intangible. His work delves into the intricate relationship between humans and the non-human terrestrial world, employing the dual lenses of quantum physics and anthropology. Through this interdisciplinary approach, he dismantles conventional notions of time, connection, and collaboration. Simultaneously, he employs the subtlety of ecological nuances to envision potential futures from multiple perspectives.

Informed by his acute awareness of his surroundings, Lomax increasingly draws inspiration from concepts like biomimicry in his studio and installation experiments. His creative endeavors range from crafting synthetic growth that emulates agriculture within his studio to giving voice to the wind through sculptural flute installations. He even constructs futuristic spaces where we can commune with prospective ecologies. In all these undertakings, his intention remains consistent: to draw attention to the enchantment he perceives all around us. Whether it's in the tapestry of everyday life or the vast cosmos, Lomax's fascination knows no bounds, and his artwork reflects this curiosity. Often, his installation works serve as mnemonic devices, reminding both viewers and himself to simply pay closer attention to the world around them.

Lomax navigates effortlessly across various artistic genres, selecting materials in a similarly intuitive manner, choosing whichever medium best serves his artistic vision. While his installation works are typically site-specific, his paintings and sculptures possess a more universal appeal.

Lomax's artistic journey has seen him exhibit in galleries, art fairs, and institutions both in the United States and abroad. His creations grace numerous private and institutional collections, including The Bunker in West Palm Beach, FL, The Berkshire Botanic Garden in Stockbridge, MA, and the California Botanic Garden in Claremont, CA. He has also exhibited at the Irish Museum of Modern Art and is a recent recipient of the Creative Ireland Climate Action grant. Born in California, he now resides wherever his artistic endeavors take him.
